Flourish’s Founder and CEO, Megan Nivens-Tannett, was recently featured in Costo Connection’s March Cover Story. This piece features stories of triumph from five entrepreneurs and Costco Business Members from all over the country, elaborating on the ways they’ve managed to pivot, adapt, and survive the pandemic.
According to the latest small business statistics, nearly one-third (31%) of small businesses in the US are currently not operational, as over 70% of US small businesses shut down in March 2020. However, despite the uncertainty, there were small business owners that worked to adapt and adopt what is now our new reality.
Megan was one of five business owners who were interviewed for Costco Connection’s cover story. She shared her perspectives on how the pandemic forced our team to go remote and how we shifted our strategy to provide more helpful and informational content to fellow business owners struggling with an online presence.
Through this experience, our team was able to focus on the bigger picture- to maintain a success mindset and overcome the obstacles, period. Megan sought to ensure the preservation of our company culture was at the forefront of every decision made during the pandemic. Because of her focus on establishing an environment where our team felt safe and supported, we were able to become more flexible and open-minded.
Because of this, we were able to refocus on providing value to our community. From providing free online resources to sharing helpful tools that helped business owners learn how to establish an online platform on their own, our team continued to thrive and even grow through the pandemic.
