A Huntsville native, Taralyn joined Flourish in August 2023, bringing with her over 15 years of program management experience in the non-profit sector along with a special place in her heart for volunteers. An experienced writer, penning everything from website copy to academic journal articles, she also served as a long-time contributor for Huntsville’s own Rocket City Mom.

Taralyn is a proud graduate of Spelman College, where she earned a B.A. in Philosophy and minored in French. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs and a Graduate Certificate in Technical Communication from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH).

Taralyn is an even prouder mother, though, of her budding artist and activist daughter, Gabby and her feisty Yorkie mix, Lulu.

In her spare time, she can be found on the hunt for good food, good music, or a good deal on a pair of shoes.
